Superb Muay Thai Gym In Khao Lak! One of the first gyms in Phuket, especially for women! The owners were here during our visit, and we loved the story of how they opened this gym to cater to female Muay Thai enthusiasts back in the day when it was more common for only men to learn Muay Thai! We had a blast training here, and my kids were completely safe playing around as we trained! The open-air gym is very spacious and equipped with top-notch equipment. There were large groups during our session, but we received individual attention as we trained- without anyone losing out. The trainers are phenomenal! I would totally recommend this gym to anyone looking to learn Muay Thai in Khao Lak!

I have been a regular here for 15 years. I come to train, build myself up after a year of work and better my technique. The place is legendary, family run business with a friendly beating heart. I have had so many good teachers here, seen fights, even stayed in the camp for a few weeks. It is always good to come back. There have been spin-offs in the recent years, but this is where you want to go. The original, the best and the nicest location by a longshot. The gym resides smack in the middle of Khao Lak in a peaceful place without outside hassle. Remote enough but easily reached. If you want to train Muay Thai in the level from 0-100, look no further.

I booked a week of training and had a wonderful time. Intense training (2 hours in the morning and 2 in the afternoon). I felt like the atmosphere was excellent, especially as the gym is family run. Many of the students fight as well as the trainers. The staff is very experienced and well equipped to teach you from a beginner to advanced level. Highly recommend it

Came here as a complete beginner. Not with fear, but with respect. Respect to fail. Luckily, the trainers taught me the foundations of Muay Thai in such a smooth and guided way that from day one it was fun but challenging right away and I wanted to learn more. After four weeks I am just grateful that I went here and I'll definitely continue with Muay Thai. Thanks to the team. Ya'll are absolutely amazing and inspiring people! Accommodation: Good Service: Very good Muay Thai gym: Very good Little gym attached to it: Good enough for some strength, cardio or mobility on the side The surrounding area: Perfect. Not much distraction in terms of partying or tourists. Good to relax and be in nature. I'll definitely come back!!

I trained at Rawai Muay Thai in Khao Lak and had an outstanding experience. I did a private session with Don, and it was excellent from start to finish. Don is highly professional and very precise in how he teaches. He helped me improve my technique across the board, stance, balance, kicks, punches, and overall movement. We focused on refining details that actually make a difference, and I could genuinely feel the improvement during the session. The training was so good that I came back for a second session, which says a lot on its own. This is a serious gym with high level coaching, and I will absolutely be back next time I’m in Khao Lak. Highly recommended.

Stayed a full week over at Rawai Muay Thai in Khao Lak, which was also my very first overseas training camp in Thailand. Had an excellent experience. From the arrival to the moment of departure, both Diana and Jek arranged everything that was necessary from the airport transfers, the rooms for my lodging, rental of motor bike, taxi for sight-seeing and a shoutout to Siri for sharing with us on where to go about and what to visit also. People in the village and staff working over at this camp are so warm and cheerful. Some may not be fluent in English but they never fail to greet you with a smile on their faces along with a warm greeting in Thai. FOOD: For food there is a short walk of 3-5 minutes from the campsite at a wonderful restaurant called Tik’s restaurant which apparently is the owners name. They have an extensive menu from western to great Thai food which is undoubtedly the best tasting food so far while being in Rawai itself. PROVISIONS: It’s situated directly opposite Tik’s restaurant. You can find all you need for ingredients for cooking, water, beer, desserts and basic necessities. TRAINING: The trainers over at the gym are very professional and well natured. They are tough when comes to training. Their classes are never boring, might be similar in certain routine / pad work but at the end of the day, all of the trainers take pride in their coaching and making sure you leave with improvement. Although, this camp has many students but every trainer is watching everyone and never fails to spot your weakness and helps to correct you making you do the right thing. A special shout out to these trainers: Ajan Boon, Fin, Dawood, Tai, Dom, Wah, Tepwarit, Game, Don and Kob. I must say that Rawai Muay Thai Khao Lak are blessed to have such dedicated trainers as they are blessed to be in this camp as well. ROOMS: Rooms are clean and proper, big comfortable bed, amenities are all in proper working condition, and they have a nice pool for you to cool off after training or to just relax your body when you’re not training. They have a small in house massage parlar called Aree Massage. Although she is small in built but don’t and never underestimate her hands. I had a few massage sessions with her and it’s all great! In ending, I didn’t want to leave the camp although I know life must go on. But I cannot recommend one more to go visit this camp while being in Phuket. Authentic Muay Thai training camp, dedicated trainers, comfortable rooms, warm and friendly staff which makes you feel at home, what could one ask for more. I will definitely return to this camp with my family as it’s perfect for individual and a family retreat. Thank you so much Rawai Muay Thai @ Khao Lak for giving me such a memorable time training with you! Kap Kun Kap!

I’ve traveled from Sweden and visited Rawai Muay Thai three times in one year – that’s how much I love this place. I’m a beginner in Muay Thai and I’ll admit I was really nervous before my first time, but it turned out to be completely unnecessary. Rawai offers not only exceptional and fun training, but there is also so much love and joy here. All the trainers and staff working at the camp and hotel welcome you with incredible warmth and happiness. Here, everyone is seen, no matter what level you’re at. The training camp is fresh, even though there can be up to 40-50 people training there twice a day, plus PT classes. The hotel rooms and pool area are cozy, clean, and always well-maintained. The reception staff helps with everything related to the hotel and camp, as well as things outside like taxis, excursions, laundry services, etc. I can’t recommend this place enough – you’ll become a little addicted, just like I did.

Brilliant muay thai gym with a fun and family orientated way towards training. Diana, Tuk and the trainers have done an amazing job with establishing a friendly environment regardless of fitness level or previous muay thai experience. I trained here for a month as a total beginner, and really picked up the sport thanks to the team. The gym is great for: - Learning muay thai with a respect towards its traditional roots and origins - Family approach. Local kids and pets sometimes come in to train and say hello. The team celebrate successes and invite trainees for BBQs and events - Low ego training from both trainers and trainees. Everyone is just here to learn, improve and have a laugh - Challenging and sweaty sessions that are well capped to your capabilities - Being in a quieter part of Thailand (away from Phuket partying) Ps: For post training massages, try Didi Massages. She's a serious expert in her craft, and was a life saver for me.

Rawai Muay Thai truly feels like our family here in Thailand. This is our second time staying, and each visit just gets better. The accommodations are amazing—clean, comfortable, and perfect for relaxing after training. The trainers are the absolute best, offering world-class instruction with genuine care and encouragement. One of the biggest highlights is how great it is for families. Our son not only has kids to train with but also a safe, welcoming environment where he can run around and play freely. The entire community here is so warm and inviting—it really feels like home. The location couldn’t be better, either. It’s close to Memories Beach, which is perfect for surfing and enjoying the ocean when you’re not in the gym. We honestly can’t say enough good things about this camp. If you’re coming to Thailand to train, relax, or just immerse yourself in Muay Thai culture, this is the place to stay.
