About Miranda Fight Team Hua HIn

Welcome to Miranda Fight Team, located in the heart of Hua Hin, Thailand, where passion for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu meets expert guidance under the leadership of Augusto Miranda, a seasoned 5-stripe BJJ black belt under Grand Master Mauricio Robbe from Gracie Barra. Augusto's journey with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu began amidst the tumultuous streets of 1980s Salvador, Bahia, where violence and crime were everyday realities. Introduced to BJJ at the age of 13 by a friend training under Sensei Ricardo Carvalho, an apprentice of Carlson Gracie, Augusto immediately recognized the transformative potential of the martial art. Under Sensei Ricardo's mentorship, Augusto flourished, dedicating himself wholeheartedly to training. For two intense years, he immersed himself in the art, training 6-7 hours a day, attending all six daily classes at the BJJ club. His commitment and talent propelled him to become one of Sensei Ricardo's best students. Following years of rigorous training and competition with Team Carvalho, Augusto ventured abroad, sharing his expertise across Europe and Asia. Notable achievements include winning the China Open BJJ Championships in 2016 and 2017 Augusto Miranda embarked on a new chapter in 2020 when he relocated to Thailand, where he immersed himself in sharing his expertise as a BJJ coach. Four years later, in 2024, he realized his dream by founding Miranda Fight Team, a premier destination for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu enthusiasts in Hua Hin, Thailand.
